PLYMOUTH, MA- Medflight Takes Girl who Crashed ATV in Bog to Hospital

PLYMOUTH, Mass. -- A 12-year-old girl is in intensive care after crashing an ATV into a bog in Plymouth Saturday. According to Plymouth Fire Chief Ed Bradley, the girl went into a cranberry bog and nearly drowned after missing a corner on Beaver Dam Road. Her brother, who had been riding on a separate ATV, pulled the 4-wheeler off of his sister and dragged her from the water. He then called 911. Bradley said it appeared the girl had been in the water for three minutes at the most. She was unconscious when emergency crews arrived, but was able to answer commands after receiving CPR, according to Bradley. A Medflight helicopter transported the girl to Children's Hospital in Boston. Bradley said the girl's family was with her as she recovered at the hospital. whdh.com
